I caught his bug and started to think along the lines of *anything is possible* for a while, planning the garden around MY Eglu until reality took hold and I realised that there was no way I was going to be able to afford a new one and second hand Eglus are umm like umm hen’s teeth in this part of the world and although there are plenty in England through eBay they are all listed as Pick Up Only due to the sheer weight and size of them.

Soooo, when the FREE CINEMA TICKETS EVERY MONTH FOR TWO YEARS arrived in the form of a pass, My Assistant and I decided that really none of our clients would like the pass as freebies, no one else in my family could go to the listings as they are in the wrong town and dude, I save SO much on fuel now by travelling with Iain every day that I can now afford the odd night out at the movies and it would be RUDE not to use them up.

We found the nest by accident last week while POWER WASHING the BBQ and were so worried that the mummy would have abandoned the nest with all the activity around it but but I sat in the green house for about 30 minutes and watched both the mum and dad bringing loads of food for the chicks.

I do a thing for my clients which doesn't directly make me money - it used to take me around 5 hours after a shoot to do this thing and really I didn't NEED to do it but I LIKED to do it but was getting to the stage where the 5 hour malarkey was holding me back from being more productive and prevented me taking an important step towards taking on more work.

The pilot was incredibly chatty, explaining that someone hadn't grasped the "rocket science that is *getting to the gate on time*" and why we had to wait for their bags to be off loaded before we could go anywhere, giving weather reports, traffic reports ("I had a good look at the motorway traffic over Belfast") and general traffic advice ("If I were you I would give the motorway a miss and seek an alternative route") and by the time we taxied in to position I was still asleep enough to be thinking "Just drive Fly-Boi and less of the chat."

There was a moment during the dancing at the end of the evening when the DJ had everyone doing "Rock The Boat" where I watched Rosemary totally throw herself in to the actions and I remembered the girl I knew years ago - the one with the real sense of fun who energised everyone around her and I teared up at the thought of not having been part of her life for so long.

The check up itself took less than 20 minutes but as is the way of these things, it took a full day away from normal life to go and collect her, drive to the hospital, find a parking space, wait in the um waiting area and then do every thing in reverse when she was finished.

When Iain got home with the printer I tried setting it up again but it is still only printing blank pages out from this Powerbook so I gave up and started some other stuff - knowing I had loads to do for tomorrow - then jumped out of my skin when Jessica started to wail - that child can scream for Ulster - she had slipped in the sock-soles and fallen badly on her elbow and hip - we thought she had chipped a bone in her elbow and contemplated going to hospital with her - but almost an hour of sitting cuddling with me and she started to brighten up.

For the life of me I can not find how to magically re-install all my favourites in Transmit - I just have to add them as I need them - I only had about 9 or 10 of them and the forums say that you have to export before you can import (NetNewsWire used the latest .plist) but as I don't have access to the old version to export in the first place it is back to the good old "adding as I need them" version.

My friend Christine, who has horses, was very much into the teachings of Monty Roberts and told me about his life, about how he applied his techniques of training horses to children too, he and his wife fostered 47 children beside their own 3 and I know that many of them were "hard-to-reach" children who benefitted from Monty's motto of "Leaving the world a better place than he found it, for horses and for people. . ."

Jacqui pointed out something that had annoyed me too - although Jude Law was portrayed as being a fine upstanding citizen by sleeping over at his sister's house when he had a little too much to drink, Cameron is *allowed* to walk around the local shop swigging from a bottle of wine and then driving home.

I am closer to Iain's mother than I am to my own and it doesn't really bother me - I feel the odd bit of guilt now and then that I don't feel guilty and once in a while I feel bad for the kids that we don't visit her as much as we visit Iain's folks but she lives miles away and how many visits do I have to make in one year?

Just as I was about to checkout the order someone emailed another order through to me and I started with that. . . then I remembered that Iain had a complaint the other day that my vouchers are too dear so I made three new ones for cheaper prices then I added in a cube thing I am doing for the shop window - I'll take a photo of them when they are assembled.

In the days of major disruptions on the Westlink on the way to work we used to drive past abandoned cars, one rather badly parked stolen gas delivery lorry, suspicious packages and un-exploded bombs and there was never the hint of a 200 metre exclusion zone then.
